Frank Wallace “Action Jackson” Jackson, 72, of Brownstown, passed away at 5:32 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2024, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.
Born February 26, 1952, in Brownstown, he was the son of the late James Jackson and Genevieve (Kirkpatrick) Darrow.
Frank was a lifelong construction worker and a member of the Laborers Union Local #795 in New Albany and ABATE. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, and going to the Bluebird Café in Vallonia.
He is survived by his son, James Burly (Gina) O’Sullivan of Edgefield, South Carolina; daughter, Elizabeth Corcoran of Seymour; brothers, Howard (Lana) Jackson of Ocala, Florida and Louis Jackson of Freetown; sisters, Patricia “Tish” Roberts of Brooksville, Florida and Joan Briggs of Fort Wayne; sister in-law, Sheryl Jackson of Vallonia; and grandchildren, Emma, Daniel, and Lindy O’Sullivan, all of Edgefield, South Carolina, and Corrina Corcoran of Seymour.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy and Tom Jackson and James, George, and Floyd Wible; and sister, Delores Wible.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Joe Jackson Hotel, 2420 South Main Street, Vallonia, Indiana, 47281. Memorial donations may be made through the family during this reception. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted with these arrangements.
