Garry Lynn Johnson Sr.

Garry Lynn Johnson Sr., 66, of Coumbus, passed away at 6:01 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Hickory Creek at Columbus.

Born July 7, 1959, in Greenfield, he was the son of the late Robert Gene Johnson Sr. and Abby Belle (Stephens) Johnson.

Garry worked for ENKEI in Walesboro and enjoyed fishing, making jewelry and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his companion,

Patricia Johnson; son Jeremiah Johnson; stepson, William Stowe; brother, Arthur Stephens Johnson; sisters, Jamey Roberta (Johnson) Yoit, Glenda Roxann (Johnson) Larrison, Vonda Albertha (Johnson) Richards, and Sherry Nadine Johnson; and grandson, Joshua Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Dennis Johnson, and brothers, Floyd Wayne and Robert Gene Johnson Jr.

In keeping with his family’s wishes cremation is planned with no services are to held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
