Gary Robert Beck

Gary Robert Beck, 70, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Majestic Care of North Vernon.

Born March 13, 1953, in Midland, Michigan, he was the son of the late Robert Charles and Marie (Yeoman) Beck.

Gary had worked at the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville for 15 years and on the B&O Railroad for 20 years.  He was a member of the Hope House of Prayer in Hope. Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and being outdoors. He collected railroad memorabilia.

Survivors include his sisters, Judy (Harold) Stoner and Janey Beck, both of North Vernon; and one nephew, Duscen Booker of Seymour.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service for Gary will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with Pastor Rick Leonard officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.

Memorials may be made in honor of Gary through the funeral home to the Dementia Foundation.
