Geraldine “Jeri” Minnick, 86, of North Vernon, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at her home. Born November 11, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Andrews) Parks. She married Brent Minnick on January 15,1980, in Dayton, Ohio; he survives.
Jeri graduated from nursing school in Dayton, Ohio in 1980. She worked as an LPN in Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Indiana, at Majestic Care in North Vernon for several years and as a Home Healthcare LPN in Columbus. She was a member of the Church of Christ in North Vernon. Jeri enjoyed watching Pacers games, working on word search puzzles, crocheting and reading. She was also a softball player
Surviving with her husband of 45 years, Brent, are her three daughters, Angel Craig (Jason Hardy) of Austin, Texas, Trisha Minnick (Ash Lewis) and Michelle Minnick both of North Vernon; her two “adopted” daughters, Kelly and Jen; and her five grandchildren, Jimmy Ludy, Alex Craig (Shannon O'Hara), Nick Webb, Logan Lewis, and Jamie Johnsen. Also surviving are two sisters, Fran Polston of Runge, Texas and Ann Parks of Cleveland, Texas and a brother, Mike Parks of Corpus Christi, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Robin Craig; her son Artie Craig; her three sisters, Janet Herron, Sharon Zapata, and Chris Campbell; and her first husband, Robert Craig.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
As the family matriarch, she is gone in body but not in spirit. Her love and wisdom live on in each of our hearts and minds.
