Gladys Marie (Wilder) Ragan

Gladys Marie Ragan, 63, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:09 a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.

Born July 22, 1958, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Herb and Mary (Coryea) Wilder. She married Virgil Ragan on December 16, 1983 in North Vernon; he survives.

Gladys was a 1976 graduate of Jennings County High School and worked for C.E.W. in North Vernon. She enjoyed talking on the phone, animals, fish, and going to movies.

Surviving with her husband, Virgil; is her stepdaughter, Sabrina (Calvin) Barnes of North Vernon; step-grandchild, Keegan James Martin Barnes of North Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James and Robert Wilder, sisters, Betty Brown, Elizabeth Guenthenspberger, and Helen Washam.

A funeral service for Gladys will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Gladys through the funeral home for expenses.
