Glenn Eugene Dobson

Glenn Eugene Dobson, 72, of Columbus, passed away at 9:47 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.

Born October 2, 1951, in Seymour, he was the son of the late Glenn W. and Opal L. (Driver) Dobson.

Glenn attended the Indiana School for the Blind and was member of Trinity Pentecostal Chapel in Seymour. He enjoyed going to church, meteorology, playing music on spoons, listening to Southern Gospel and Bluegrass music and collecting thousands of CD’s

He is survived by his cousins, Vickie (Michael) Mitchner of Hartsville, Maureen (David) Pope and Donnie (Willow) Hamilton both of Columbus; Gary (Mary) Driver, Jane Driver and Catherine Boardman, all of North Vernon; and lots of extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin sister, Lois Joann Dobson.

A funeral service for Glenn will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Larry Dalton and Rev. Ryan Bradley officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Baldwin Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Glenn through the funeral home to Trinity Pentecostal Chapel.
