Gloria Clemons, 57, of North Vernon, passed away at 3:04 p.m. on March 3, 2020, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Born November 3, 1962, in Hazard, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Mayhew and Polly (Melton) Clemons.
Gloria worked in medical records for St. Vincent Jennings Hospital for 16 years; she had previously worked for Union Camp in Seymour, Mascotech, Regal Rugs and Ezzo’s Meat Market all in North Vernon. Gloria enjoyed knitting, sketching, being outdoors and family time.
Survivors include her sons, Andrew Cornett and Cody (Samantha) Hubbard both on North Vernon, and Donnie (Bridget) Cornett of Madison; brothers, Harold (Tina) Melton and Dan (Danielle) Wooten both of North Vernon and William (Kim) Wooten of Commiskey; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mayhew and Polly Clemons; brothers, Kenny and Jim Clemons and sister, Imogene Clemons.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Dan Corbin officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at noon. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery in Jennings County.
