Gloria Faye (Miller) Martin

 Gloria Faye Martin, 88, of Cave City, Kentucky, passed away at 2:24 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at T.J. Sampson Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky.

Born May 26, 1936, in Rush County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late J. Charles and Margaret (Moster) Miller.

Gloria was a 1954 graduate in New Salem, Indiana and attended Aristotle Medical School in Indianapolis. She worked for Long Term Care in Indianapolis, Jackson Nursing Home and Hospital and Rushville Hospital. Gloria was a member of Hint Hunters Home Extension Club in Rushville, She enjoyed making flower arrangements, crafts and watching old TV Shows especially Bonanza.

She is survived by her sons, Gary (Beth) Martin of Cave City, Kentucky and David (Janet) Martin of Carleton, Michigan; sisters, Joan (Justin) Driscoll of Burke, Virginia and Gretchan Barber of Kokomo, Indiana; grandchildren, Janet Marie (Kevin) Montiy of Texas, David (Chantal) Martin and Nathan (Lauren) Martin, both of Michigan, Katie Martin of Virgin Islands, and Jason Martin and Brad Martin both of Indiana; many great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Vince Miller; and sister, Carol Springer.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Hopewell Cemetery, Richland Township, Rush County, Indiana with the Rev. Jerran Jackson officiating. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted with the care of these arrangements.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Gloria to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
