Gregory Alan Earl

Gregory Alan Earl, 63, of Butlerville, passed away at 5:13 a.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.

Born June 2, 1958, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Ralph Earl and the late Donna (Costolow) Earl. He married Kathy Lamb on May 26, 1978, in Commiskey; she survives.

Gregory attended Ben Davis High School and was a self-employed truck driver for 26 years. He had worked at Mariah Packing for 17 years from 2004-2021. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling, watching cowboy movies, and spending time with his family.

Surviving with his wife, Kathy, are daughters, Jennifer (Nick) Cortes of Butlerville, Indiana and Lisa (Jonathan) Barker of Commiskey, Indiana; father, Ralph (Barbara) Earl of Hanover, Indiana; brothers, Les (Betty) Earl of Commiskey, Indiana, Curtis Earl, Gary Earl, and Bobby (Tracy) Earl, all of Hanover, Indiana, Jimmy (Lindsey) Earl of Madison, Indiana, and Andrew (Michele) Earl of Edinburgh, Indiana; sisters, Kelly (Gene) Whitten of Alabama, Tammy (Tony) Jackson and Jodeyna (Steve) Rue Busch, both of Florida, and Shirley Jane (David) Adkinsson of Deputy, Indiana; grandchildren, Dakota Brooks and Nicolas Cortes, both of Butlerville, Indiana, Ki (Heather) Roberts of Washington, Indiana, Charlie Roberts of Kansas, and Jerry Roberts of North Vernon, Indiana; and great-grandchild, Chase Roberts of Washington, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his mother; his brother, Ralph Earl; and sister, Vickie Earl.

A funeral service for Gregory will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Dezmien Williams officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
