Gregory William Holt

Gregory William Holt, 67, of North Vernon, passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at his residence.

Born February 25, 1957, in Greensburg, he was the son of Maryann (Herbert) Holt and the late William Daly Holt. He married Jo Ellen (Campfield) Holt on November 17, 1979, in North Vernon; she survives.

Gregory graduated from Jennings County High School in 1975 and served in the U.S. National Guard from 1987 until 1991. He worked for MUTC in Butlerville as a range controller for thirteen years and had previously worked at Bassmaster’s in Seymour as a manager and at Don’s Guns as a buyer. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in North Vernon. Gregory loved WWII re-enacting, target shooting, the outdoors, and dogs.

He is survived by his wife; his daughter, Jasmine (Craig) Huston of Apopka, Florida; and his mother, Maryann Holt of Holton.

He was preceded in death by his father.

In keeping with his and his family’s wishes, cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted to the care of these arrangements.
