Harold William "Scott" Colvin

Harold William “Scott” Colvin, 58, of Seymour, passed away at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Autumn Trace in Seymour.

Born December 7, 1964, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Harold and Mary Virginia (Tando) Colvin.

Scott was a 1983 graduate of Jennigs County High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Indiana State University and his associate degrees in applied science and design from Ivy Tech in 2003. Scott was a member of Six Mile Masonic Lodge #412 in Hayden, Murat Shrine and Scottish Rite. He also was an Honorary Legion of Shrine and Senior DeMolay. Scott enjoyed Masonic activities.

Survivors include his sisters, Cherrie (Arland) Caffee of Henryville and Virgina Colvin of Seymour.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Colvin; and sister, Mary Colvin.

A funeral service for Scott will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with Masonic Chaplain Mike Lovins officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The burial will be at a later time in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Scipio. Masonic Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. by members of Six Mile Masonic Lodge #412.
