Obituary
Ivan Poe Waltermire, 57, of Butlerville, passed away on May 5, 2023, at his residence.
Born January 7, 1965, in Seymour, he was the son of the late James Lee Waltermire and Penney Marie Martin. He married Cynthia (Harris) Waltermire on August 19, 1989, at their residence in Butlerville; she preceded him in death on March 29, 2023.
Ivan enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his stepdaughters, Amanda Bower, Amy Bolton, and Deanna (Danny) Simmons; sisters, Loretta (Leon) Kreutzjans and Candy (Brian) Nunley; and grandchildren, Xavier Bolton, Nate Bolton, Dakotah Goodwin, Thomas Simmons, Lukas Simmons, Avery Simmons, and Emory Simmons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and son, Thomas Waltermire.
A private service will be held in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Ivan through the funeral home for help with expenses.
