Jack L. McIntosh, 76, of Commiskey, passed away at 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on April 28, 1944, in Paris Crossing, the son of Willie and Josie (McIntosh) McIntosh. He married Nancy White, on September 9, 2009 in Vernon; she survives.
Jack was a 1962 graduate of Deputy High School. He was a farmer and worked maintenance for Cummins Engine Company for 47 years, before retiring on October 1, 2010. Jack was a member of Coffee Creek Christian Church in Paris Crossing and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and family get togethers.
Surviving with his wife, Nancy McIntosh, are his children, Jackie (Paul Hammond) McIntosh of Canaan, Cynthia (Paul) Epple of Lexington, Dianna (Gary) Pruitt of Virginia, Sally (David McGloughan) Barber of North Vernon, and Melissa (Kinzer Lauderbaugh) McIntosh of Butlerville; step-children, Tracy Hendricks of Seymour and Mark Henry of Madison; siblings, Wanda Sullivan and Edna Rockey, both of North Vernon, Ileen Wetzel and Judy Baker, both of Seymour, Eugene (Joyce) McIntosh , David (Sandy) McIntosh and Steve (Gail) McIntosh, all of Paris Crossing and Curt (Karen) McIntosh of Nashville; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Birdie Adams, Henrietta Mettler, Fran Bratcher and Patricia Kramer; and grandchildren, Shane Carter and Bowen Mac Henry.
A funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Ron McKinney officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 26, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday.
