James Edward Clerkin Jr.

James Edward Clerkin, Jr., 67, of North Vernon, passed away on September 25, 2024, at the home of his friend. 

Born August 29, 1957, in Seymour, he was the son of the late James Edward Clerkin Sr. and Virginia (Nelson) Clerkin.

James served in the United States Army and worked as a Union Plasterer. He enjoyed construction work and listening to music.   

Survivors include his son, Cody Clerkin of North Vernon; and his sisters, Connie (Ron) Niles of Cypress, Texas and Susan (Joel) Huske of Brenham, Texas. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Bridgett Ball.

In keeping with his and his family’s wishes, cremation is planned with a private burial in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
