Janice Mae (Clark) Clark

Janice Mae Clark, 89, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday January 9, 202, at Majestic Care of North Vernon.

Born April 11, 1931, in North Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Dallas C. and Bessie Marie (Gong) Clark.

Ms. Clark graduated from North Vernon High School in 1949. She worked for several years at Auerswald Insurance and later retired from Home Federal Savings Bank in 1993. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in North Vernon and enjoyed traveling with friends, listening to music, and painting.

She is survived by nieces Alicia (Sally Smith) Gahimer of Indianapolis; Pam Rees of North Vernon; Carla (Terry) Ochs Lowe of Columbus; Lisa (Tim) Cole of New Hope, VA. Surviving nephews are Rollie (Eva) Gahimer of Dallas, TX; Troy (Marsha) Gahimer of Medora; Tony (Luann) Ochs of North Bend, WA; Tim (Pam) Clark of Nashville, IN; and Steve (Charlotte) Clark of Buffalo, KY. Also surviving are several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Alice (Bruce) Gahimer; sister Carolyn (Bert, surviving) Ochs; and brother David (Carolyn, surviving) Clark.

A graveside funeral service for Ms. Clark with be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Connie Barr officiating. Family and friends may call at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
