Jerry Russell Phillips

Jerry Russell Phillips, 63, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:10 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Majestic Care of North Vernon.

Born March 24, 1956, in Bartholomew County, he was the son of Donald L. and Marsha June (Lee) Phillips.

Jerry was a 1975 graduate of South Decatur High School. He worked mowing grass for individuals and businesses including Erich K Motors and Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home. He was a former member of Reining Light of Healing Chapel in North Vernon. He enjoyed model cars and collected superhero statues.

Jerry is survived by his close friends, Bev Coldiron, Lora Traylor and his family and friends at Majestic Care of North Vernon.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Marsha Phillips and brother, Donald Ray Phillips.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Senior Renewal Center with St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.
