Jimmy "Randall" Gayheart Obituary

Jimmy “Randall” Gayheart, 64, of Paris Crossing, passed away at 5:26 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at his residence.

Born May 18, 1961, in Hazard, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Jimmy Gayheart and Susie Mae (Mullins) Gibson. He married Bobbie Jo Treadway on June 29, 2006, at the Scott County Courthouse in Scottsburg; she survives.

Randall was a 1979 graduate of Austin High School and was a maintenance foreman one at the Madison Correctional Facility for the State of Indiana in Madison from 1997 until present. He was a member of Goodwill Conservation Club in Deputy. Randall enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and being outdoors. He loved cooking, spending time with grandchildren and family and friend’s time. Randall also loved making people laugh and scaring people for fun.

Surviving with his wife, Bobbie Jo; is his son, Christopher Gayheart of Austin; daughters, Kayla (James) Clark of Commiskey and Cassidy (Alex) Williams of North Vernon; brothers, Jimmy Roger (Donna) Gayheart of Hazard, Kentucky and Wayne Gibson of Austin; and his sisters, Judy Gayheart Williams and Janell Campbell, both of Hazard, Kentucky and Darlene Gibson of Austin; grandchildren, Violet Williams, Alexander Williams, Isabella Corya, Zachary Reece, Michael Reece and Aayona Clark.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Gayheart on October 28, 2023; his mother Susie Gibson on February 28, 2013; and brother, Richard Glenn Gibson Jr. on January 1, 2024.

A funeral service for Randall will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with Jessica Wilson officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow in the Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery in Paris Crossing.

Memorials may be made in honor of Randall through the funeral home for help with expenses.
