Jocelyn Sue Yeager, 68, of Clifford, passed away on April 26, 2021, at I.U. Health Methodist in Indianapolis.
Born April 17, 1953 in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Dudley Dixon and Geneva Louella (Harris) Dixon. She married Joseph Yeager he preceded her in death in 2008.
Jocelyn was a graduate of Franklin High School and was the Valedictorian for her class at the Indiana Business College. She worked in the office of Force Construction in Columbus for more than 20 years before retiring in 2015; she had previously worked for Arvin’s Industries. She was a member of Faith, Hope and Love Church in Elizabethtown. Jocelyn loved to sing and share her talent with local bands. She enjoyed playing rummy and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jocelyn is survived by her daughters, Taren (Nehemiah) Scruggs of Clifford and Anson Flippins of Columbus; brother Roger Dixon of Columbus; grandchildren, Zacaria Scruggs, Nehemiah Scruggs, Zerekiah Scruggs, and Israe'l Scruggs, all of Clifford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ricky Dixon and Moses Chapman Taylor; and sisters, Dorice Staten and Margaret “Katherine” Litzy.
A funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Irvin French and Rev. Mike Harris officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
