Joel Breeding, 69, of Dupont, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at his residence.
Born April 16, 1956, in Seymour, he was the son of the late Bruce and Evelyn (Shepherd) Breeding. He married Jody Ford on August 18, 1984, at Horse Cave, Kentucky.
Joel was an IKEC Employee for 32 years and worked construction for Teton Construction and a lifelong farmer. He would do anything for anybody, loved his family and was an awesome man. He enjoyed hunting, farming, motorcycles, fishing, snow skiing, and golfing. He would say “Be Kind, and Love because life is really short.
Surviving with his wife of 40 years, Jody, are his brother and sisters, Tim (Kim) Breeding of Madison, Marsha Eversole of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Leslie (John) Ford of Dupont; mother-in-law, Edith Ford of Dupont; brothers-in-law, Dean (Debbie) Ford and Jerry (Jenny) Ford, both of Dupont; several nephews, nieces; and several great-nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Melvin Ford; brother-in-law, Kenneth Eversole and nephew, Jonathan Ford.
Private graveside service will be held in the Dupont Cemetery in Dupont. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon.
