John Patrick Blount Sr.

John Patrick Blount Sr., 53, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:57 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at his residence.

Born December 6, 1968, in Madison, he was the son of Shirley Terrell and the late Kenny Blount.

John worked as a drywall installer for Reynolds Drywall. He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.

Surviving with his mother, Shirley Terrell of Seymour, are sons, John Blount Jr. of North Vernon and Allen Blount of Columbus; daughters, Heather Blount and Tara Blount, both of North Vernon; brothers, Kenny Blount of North Vernon and Lance Reynolds of Deputy; sister, Melissa (Mike) Brewer of Seymour; and 12 grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, Lance Reynolds;  and his grandparents, Raymond and Wilma Terrell.

A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Drew Dukes officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
