José Eduardo “Lalo” Cuevas Bustamante

José Eduardo “Lalo” Cuevas Bustamante, 22, of Columbus, passed away on August 20, 2023, in Columbus.

Born November 2, 2000, in Xalapa, Mexico, he was the son of José Alfredo Cuevas and Guadalupe Bustamante Flores.

Lalo graduated in 2018 in Mexico and enjoyed traveling, and horticulture fruit trees, and berries.

He is survived by his father, José Alfredo Cuevas of Xalapa, Mexico; his mother, Guadalupe Bustamante Flores of Columbus and stepfather, Jeff Fredrick of Columbus, brother, José Alberto Cuevas of Columbus; stepbrothers, Nash and Justin; and stepsisters, Regan and Corianna.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Deacon Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
