Joseph Evans Obituary

Joseph Glenn Evans, 65, of Dupont, passed away at his residence.

Born December 21, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of William and Eva (Johnson) Evans.

Joseph worked as a tool and die maker for Grote in Madison for 25 years before retiring in 2023. He was a 1976 graduate of Columbus North High School. Joseph enjoyed playing computer games, tinkering, outdoor activities, fishing, and hunting.

Survivors include his sons, Jessie (Jessica) Evans of Dupont, Joey Evans of Columbus, and Ben (Heather Campbell) Evans of LaMonte, Missouri; daughters, Abigail Reed of Dupont, Noel Irizarry of Charleston, South Carolina, and Jasmin Evans of Oswego, Illinois; brothers, Daniel Evans of Hope and David (Judy) Gullett of Ohio; grandchildren, Elizabeth Evans, Isabella Evans, and Elsa Evans, all of Butlerville, Brandy Evans, Cain Evans, Suzan Evans, and Joan Evans, all of Dupont, Kayden Barwick and Mikey Barwick, both of Martinsville, Rylan Waskom of Elizabethtown, and Ray Irizarry of Charleston, South Carolina.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, William Evans and Eddie Gullett.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Joseph through the funeral home for expenses.
