Obituary

Journey Jo Marie Barker was born on May 22, 2022, in Seymour and was the infant daughter of Mariah Steele and Derek Barker of Commiskey. She passed away at 4:53 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Surviving with her parents are her brother, Jaxxsun Hall of Commiskey; sisters, Infiniti and Brailee Hall, both of Commiskey, and Bailey Barker of Scipio; grandparents, Valerie Steele of Big Clifty, Kentucky, Kim (Robert) Goen of North Vernon, and Dennis and Robin Barker, both of Evansville; and great grandfather, Joe Huntsman of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Richard Barker, Johanne Disottle, Vickie Huntsman, Leo Barker, and Martha Barker.

A funeral service for Journey will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with Rev. Lonny Goen officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery.
