Joyce Ann Brison

Joyce Brison was born 11/3/1941 and entered into the gates of heaven on 6/22/22. Joyce was the daughter of Calline Brown who preceded her in death. Joyce was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Joyce worked at MSDC from 1968-2000 where she was a DST for many years and a Supervisor for many years prior to retiring. Joyce was the mother to 4 children. Robert (Tina) Brison of Butlerville, Clarence (Terry) Brison of Butlerville, Anna Brison and partner Mike Morgan of Columbus and Cora Jane Brison who preceded her in death. Joyce has 9 grandchildren Cora Brison, Cameron (Whitney) Brison, Kaylah (Scott) Bowman, Calli (Colton) Lucas, Maddi Morgan, Kristina (David) Turner, Kim Smitha, Shelby Richardson and Taylor Brison. Joyce has 7 great grandchildren, Maverick Brison, Brody Bowman, Jacob Bannister, Logan Bannister, Siearra Fournier, Jalyn Henry and Ava Napier. Joyce’s greatest pastime was spending time with her family, gardening, canning and making Christmas candy every year for family and friends. Joyce will be missed deeply by her family but we have peace in knowing that all her pain and suffering is over. 

A funeral service for Joyce will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with Rev. Marvin Wright officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Butlerville Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Joyce’s honor through the funeral home to help with expenses.
