Judith Elaine Stuehrenberg, 74, of North Vernon, passed away at 4:03 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville.
Born January 21, 1948, in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Maxine (Harrison) Bishop. She married David Edward Stuehrenberg on March 20, 1989, at the Courthouse in Vernon; he preceded her in death on October 25, 2011.
Judith attended Sandcreek School in Westport. She retired in 2011 from Pretium Packaging in Seymour after 28 years. Judith enjoyed playing music, flowers, and her dog, Gertie.
Survivors include her daughters, Patty (Albert Ritchie) Miller of North Vernon, Teresa (Wayne Berry) Zapfe of Gulf Port, Mississippi, and Kathy (Dekota Lee) Zapfe of Leakesville, Mississippi; step-children, Dana (Bubba) Wilson and Daniel Stuehrenberg, both of Greensburg; brother, Terry Wayne (Emma) Bishop of North Vernon; sisters, Frieda Summers of Shoals, Sara (Gail) Hancock of Greensburg, and Betty (John) Scully of Dupont; grandchildren, Jerry Zapfe of North Vernon, Megan (Josh) McQueen of Grand Bay, Alabama, and Stephanie Zapfe of Leakesville, Mississippi; and great-grandchildren, Braylon Hardesty of Leakesville, Mississippi and Mia McQueen of Grand Bay, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by parents; son, Ronald Allen Zapfe; brothers, Fred, William, and Richard Bishop; and sister, Mary Jane Bishop.
A funeral service for Judith will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with Alden Rudicel officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Judith through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
