Judith “Judy” Ann Burney, 74, of North Vernon, passed away on May 19, 2021, at her residence.
Born September 12, 1946, in Hood River, Oregon, she was the daughter of the late James Russell and Lois (Caughey) Marks. She married Ray Burney on November 2, 1980, in Yuma, Arizona; he survives.
Judy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in North Vernon. She enjoyed crocheting and puzzle books.
She is survived by her husband; son, James (Verna) Gillian of Columbus; daughters, Cami Hill of Bettsville, Ohio, Kenda Porter of Utah, and Kelly Adams of North Dakota; brother, Scott (Diane) Marks of Chandler, Arizona; grandchildren, Samantha (David) Schultz of North Vernon, Thomas (Cassie) Mays of Bettsville, Ohio, Randi (Steven) Harden of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, and James Smith of Wabash; and great grandchildren, Christian Mays of North Vernon, Melanea Gilbert, Jessicka Mays, Chylee Mays, and Markzavier Mays, all of Bettsville, Ohio, and Kaylah Mays of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Harry Marks and Richard Marks.
In keeping with her and her family’s wishes, cremation is planned, with no services to be held at this time. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted to the care of these arrangements.
