June (Fletcher) Short

June Short 62 of Spring Hill Florida, passed away on Tuesday April 19th, 2022, at Sturgill Hospice House in Spring Hill Florida.

June was born on August 2nd, 1959, in San Antonio Texas the daughter of Bob and Jean Fletcher. She married Will Short on September 11th, 1999, in North Vernon Indiana. He survives.

A 1977 graduate of Jennings County High School June was a 23-year employee of the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. Upon moving to Florida, she earned her degree in horticulture and was employed by Hernando County for 10 years. She was a member of Western Baptist Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 8681. June enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, decorating, sitting on the dock and feeding the pelicans. She loved spending time with her family, friends, her children, and her grandchildren. Reading the Bible and her daily devotional.

Surviving with her husband Will are seven children Corey Short, Stephanie (John) House, April (Tom) Besse, Jeremy (Jenny) Fletcher, Carrie Short, CJ Nolan, and Kristen (Noah)Doyle;  17 grandchildren Autumn Short, Alex Short, Bailey House, Braden House, Ethan Besse, Macy Jo Marie (Cole) Beaver, Sierra Fletcher, Lily-Ann Beadencup, Dakotta Fletcher, Gaige Fletcher, Trey Reynolds, Meridian Reynolds, Sadie Reynolds, Madie Reynolds, Adrian McMurtey Carmen McMurtey, and Summer Lexi Doyle; siblings, John (Angie) Fletcher, Susan (Carl) Maxwell, Janece (Mark) Fletcher Reede, and Kathy Fletcher DeFord; and several nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Bob and Jean Fletcher.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday April 28th, 2022, at the Indiana Veteran's Memorial Cemetery chapel. Burial will be at Indiana's Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
