Justin Tyler Spears, 24, of Scipio formerly of Crawfordsville passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018, in Scipio.
Born November 11, 1993, in Lafayette, Justin was the son of Timmy “Tim” and Kimberly “Kim” (Rush) Spears. He married Kaitlyn Michelle Lord on January 2, 2018, at the Vernon Courthouse in Vernon. She survives.
Justin graduated in 2015 from Lincoln Tech as an Automotive Technician with an Associate’s Degree in Business, and worked as the assistant manager for Freddy’s in Columbus. He was a member of the Jehovah Witness congregation. Justin enjoyed working on and restoring cars, motorcycle riding, watching movies, and spending time with his family.
Surviving with his wife, Kaitlyn Michelle Lord of Scipio are a daughter, Kalelo May Spears of Scipio; parents, Tim and Kim Spears of Crawfordsville; grandparents, Vonda Rush of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Cornell “Jack” and Ree “Susie” Spears of Avon; aunts and uncles, Kelly Rush and Brian (Shondel) Rush of Crawfordsville, Doug (Amy) Rush of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Lonnie (Wanda) Spears of Memphis, Tennessee and Marquita Campbell of Gallatin, Tennessee; great-aunts and uncles, Joy Rush of Crawfordsville, Glenda (Bill) Lester of Colorado and Bobby (Sharon) Killmon of Westfield and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparent, James Rush.
In keeping with the family’s wishes cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted with the care of these arrangements.
Memorials may be made in honor of Justin, through the funeral home for a trust that will be established for his daughter, Kalelo Spears.
