Kenneth Arney Obituary

Kenneth Robert Arney, 68, of North Vernon, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on May 13, 2021, at his residence.

Born May 2, 1953, in Norton, Virginia, he was the son of the late Robert and Anna Lee (Williams) Arney.

Kenneth worked at Cummins Engine Company in Columbus and was a jack of all trades. He was a member of the Lake Shore Community in Virginia and enjoyed fishing, hunting, guns, and bows and arrows.

He is survived by his companion, Deborah Peckinpaugh of North Vernon; son, Robert Curtis Arney of Columbus, daughter, Leann Marie Arney of Tennessee; brother, Darrell Arney of Markel; sisters, Robin Necessary of Abingdon, Virginia, Missy Ward of Gale Ferry, Connecticutt, and Barbie Norris of Glade Spring, Virginia; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with his and his family’s wishes, cremation is planned, with no services to be held at this time. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted to the care of these arrangements.
