Kevin Gene Price

Kevin Gene Price, 64, of Danville, Illinois, passed away at 8:41 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023, at Carle Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Born January 7, 1959, in Danville, Illinois, he was the son of Shirley (O’Neil) Price and the late Gene Price.

Kevin was a high school graduate and held an associate degree in counseling. He worked as a drug and alcohol counselor with Catholic Social Services in Illinois and had also worked as a drug abuse counselor at Prairie Center in Champion. Kevin enjoyed refurbishing vintage clocks, watching football, was a Chicago Bears fan, fishing, and smoking meat. He loved spending time with his family, especially his five daughters.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Elizabeth (Dawn) Rosenbaum of Jacksonville, Florida, Elaine Price (Jeff Bennett) of Danville, Illinois, and Stephanie (Alden) Rudicel, Samantha (Daniel) Pickett, and Staci Price (Kyle Murphy), all of North Vernon,; mother, Shirley Price of Danville, Illinois;  brothers, Timothy (Char) Price and Troy Price, both of Danville, Illinois, Curtis (Tammy) Price of Owensville, Indiana and Mark (Vicki) Price of Ridge Farm, Illinois; sister, Shelby (Dirk) Switzer of Bismarck, Illinois; grandchildren, Finley Rosenbaum and Olive Rosenbaum, both of Jacksonville, Florida, Gavin (Aleia) Price of Fort Hood, Texas, Brooklyn Jenkins, Rey Rudicel, Wade Rudicel, Landon Pickett, Saxon Turner, Scarlett Patterson and Silas Price, all of North Vernon; and one great-grandchild, Kinsley Abshear of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Sarges Tap in Danville, Illinois.
