Kim Greathouse, 67, of Commiskey, passed away at 10:48 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.
Born April 14, 1956, in Columbus, he was the son of Barbara (Staublin) White and the late Charles Henry Greathouse.
Kim was a 1974 graduate of Jennings County High School and owned and operated the former Greathouse Plastering in North Vernon. He was a master plasterer retiring in 2018 and a member of the Indiana Plasterer’s Union from 1975 until the present. Kim enjoyed canning, gardening, fishing, and his hobby farm. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his son, Dustin Greathouse of Commiskey; mother, Barbara White of North Vernon; brother, Nathan Greathouse of Lexington, Kentucky; sisters, Paula Niccolai of North Vernon, Natalie Keller of Jacksonville, Florida, Debbie (Patrick) Kinney of Cave City, Kentucky and Netha Storey of Sand Point, Idaho; grandchildren, Cody Greathouse, Autumn Greathouse, and Lavandar Greathouse, all of North Vernon and great-grandchild, J.J. LeLeux of North Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Tonya R. Spicer.
In keeping with his and his family’s wishes cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
