Kody Allen Perry

Kody Allen Perry, 33, of North Vernon, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at his residence.

Born February 19, 1992, in Columbus, he was the son of the late Jeremy Perry and Kristy Renee Kimbler-Carpenter.

Kody worked as a forklift driver for Valeo for one year and had previously worked for Rose Acres Farms. He was a former member of the North Vernon Nazarene Church. Kody enjoyed drawing, dogs and having fun times with his friends.

He is survived by his grandmother, Connie Kimbler of North Vernon; sisters, Kesshia (Michael) Duncan of North Vernon and Karla Moyer of Hayden; aunt, Lori Fields of North Vernon; uncle, Shane Kimbler of North Vernon; nephew, Kayne Johnson of North Vernon; nieces, Katrina Mathews and Armani Patton, both of North Vernon, and Ivy Hildreth of Hayden; cousins, Kasey (Matt) Ault, Sophya Ault, and Kelby Fields, all of Columbus, Trinity (Manuel) Zepeda of Seymour, Trista (Simeon) Bryant and Elena Bryant, both of Scottsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandfather, Melvin “Gene” Kimbler; great-grandparents, James and Marie Douglas; and cousin, Kory Fields.

A celebration of Kody’s life will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Rudicel Family Event Center, 408 South State Street, North Vernon. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Kody through the funeral home for help with funeral expenses.
