Kristen Niccole (Foist) Bannister

Kristen Niccole Bannister, 38, of Hayden, passed away at 1:12 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at her mother’s residence in Greenwood.

Born July 22, 1981, in Columbus, she was the daughter of Mindi (McPeek) Setta and the late Rory D. Foist. She married Tyler Bannister on March 7, 2014, in Vernon; he survives.

Kristen graduated from Jennings County High School in 1999 and attained an associate degree in business from Ivy Tech. She was a homemaker that loved reading; cooking; music; watching her kids play sports; and watching football, baseball, basketball, and auto racing.

She is survived by her husband, Tyler Bannister of Hayden; daughter, Kalissa “Kali” Thompson of Hayden; son, Brady Bannister of Hayden; mother, Mindi Setta of Greenwood; brother, Tanner (Lily) Foist of Yelm, Washington; sisters, Brandi Foist of Scipio and Heather (Amos) Fox of Peyton, Colorado; grandmother, Rita Hedges of North Vernon; and step-father, David Setta of Melbourne, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Cory Foist; her grandparents; and her nephew, Abrams Fox.

A funeral service for Kristen will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Bear Creek Baptist Cemetery.
