Kristi Ann “Kris” Ray, 63, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:20 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Belmont Health and Rehabilitation Center in Columbus.
Born August 10, 1961, in Paoli, she was the daughter of Don and Jeri (Phillips) Hunter.
Kris was a loyal friend who loved music and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Seth (Alesha) Ray of North Vernon; daughters, Kim Leahy of Lake Placid, Florida and Katie Ray of North Vernon; parents, Don and Jeri Hunter of Franklin; brother, Donald Hunter Jr. of Daufuskie Island, South Carolina; sisters, Trudy Hunter of Clearwater, Florida and Michele (Jon) Weaver of Franklin; grandchildren, Zoey Ray, Daniel Ray, Willow Ray, Anya Ray, and Sylvia Ray, all of North Vernon; Faith Ray and Zaylee Ray of Brownstown, Jerika Johnson of Clarksville, Joseph Smith of Columbus, and Renee Cochran and Jason Cochran, both of Charlestown; and great-grandchild, Dante Ray of North Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Irene “Sandi” Ray.
The visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Memorials may be made in honor of Kris through the funeral home to the Belmont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
