Larry William Burdine Jr.

Larry William Burdine Jr. 52, of Deputy, passed away at 3:12 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Born October 3, 1972, in North Vernon, he was the son of Larry William Burdine Sr. and Carolyn Sue (Reynolds) Maurer.

Larry attended Jennings County High School and worked as a cook at the TA Travel Center in Seymour. He was a member of Restoration Fellowship Church in Butlerville, and as a child attended the North Vernon Nazarene Church. Larry was an artist who enjoyed drawing, music, fishing, camping, watching car races, and family time.

Survivors include his daughter, Brittney (Willie Spears) Butler of Deputy; father, Larry William Burdine Sr. of Seymour; mother, Carolyn (Ralph) Maurer of Seymour; sisters, Amy (Troy) Petro of North Vernon and Rebekah (Jeremy) Gambrel of Crothersville; granddaughter, Novalee Spears of Deputy; nieces and nephews, Troy Petro Jr. and Cheyenne Petro, both of North Vernon, Brian (Kylie Collins) Petro of Columbus, Maelin (Carl Grider) Petro, of Dupont, Kenneth Petro of Scipio, and Rebecca (Nathan) Olds of Vernon.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

A funeral service for Larry will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Ira Scott officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials in honor of Larry may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
