Larry Ray Dunham Sr.

Larry Ray Dunham Sr, 82, of North Vernon, passed away at Columbus Regional Hospital on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 5:12 p.m.

Born March 6, 1943, in Madison, he was the son of the late Arnold Dunham Sr. and Rachel (Boyce) Dunham. He married Anna Sue (McIntosh) Dunham on November 4, 1988, in North Vernon; she survives.

Larry owned his own masonry business since the mid 1960’s, Larry Dunham Masonry. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, blackberry picking, playing Euchre, working in the garage with his son, Larry, and watching his favorite shows, especially Gunsmoke or anything with John Wayne in it.

Surviving along with his wife are his children, Tonya Biesen, Vicky Shelton, Larry Dunham Jr., Sherry (Mike) Dalton, Kathy (Lee Hartwell) Dunham, Melissa (Levi Ritz) Dunham, and Robert Dunham Jr.; siblings, Arnold (Kay) Dunham Jr., Alan (Donna) Dunham, and Katie Shelton; twenty grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Dunham Sr.; sister, Chloa Hornsby; granddaughter, Jessie Louden; son in-law, Danny Shelton; brothers in-law, Tommy McIntosh, Shafter McIntosh, Chester McIntosh, Johnny McIntosh, and Wayne Shelton; and sisters in-law, Margaret Pitts and Lillie Belle Moulton.

A funeral service for Larry will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until the start of the service. Burial will be held at Dupont Cemetery in Dupont at a later date.
