Lea Ann (Love) Vaught, of North Vernon, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 11, 2026.
Born on August 11th, 1954, in Bedford, Indiana, Lea Ann was a graduate of Bedford High School and later earned her registered nursing degree from Vincennes University. Lea Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and caregiver who dedicated much of her life to helping others. She worked as a nurse for over 20 years at Dunn Hospital in Bedford, Indiana, where she was known for her compassion and dedication to her patients. Lea Ann was a former member of the Bedford First Church of God and a current member of the Harvest Baptist Church in North Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Love and Clydia Love.
Lea Ann is survived by her husband, Russell Vaught of North Vernon, Indiana; three children, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
Her children include Jeff Atchison (50) of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and his daughters Darian Atchison and Piper Atchison; Travis Atchison (45) of Bedford, Indiana, and his wife Raegan Atchison, along with their children Aubrey White and her husband Jesse White, Keaton Atchison, Alayna Atchison, Kylee Atchison, Spencer Atchison, and great-grandson August White; Ashley Atchison (42), whose children are Alexandra Long and Colton Atchison
Lea Ann will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to caring for others, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
There will be a grave side service at Cresthaven Cemetery in Bedford Indiana on Friday March 13th at 2pm. Service is open to family and friends.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Lea Ann through the funeral home to Harvest Baptist Church.
