Linda L. (Combs) Noel-Castetter

Linda L. Noel-Castetter, 74, of North Vernon, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at her residence.  

Born June 26, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Ilse (Loesch) Combs. She married Thomas Castetter on December 4, 1992, in Morrison, Colorado; he preceded her in death on May 10, 2019.

Linda was a 1968 graduate of Main West High School in Des Plains, Illinois. She worked in Retail and for the Post Office in Colorado. Linda enjoyed gardening, arts, crafts, and taking care of stray cats.

Survivors include her son, Kevin Smith of Colorado; brothers, Mike (Sharon) Combs of West Grand Place, Colorado, Robert (Renee) Combs of Deephaven, Minnesota, and Tim Combs of New York.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and brother, Pat Combs.

In keeping with her wishes and her family’s wishes, cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon were entrusted with the care of these arrangements.

Memorials may be made in honor of Linda through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.
