Lucrecia Maxine Chapman, 67, of North Vernon, passed away at 3:05 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Born April 30, 1952, in Anderson, she was the daughter of Yewell William and Maxine Ethel Alberts Hendren.
Lucrecia worked as a cook for Linda’s Log Cabin in Vernon and had previously worked for the former Regal Rugs. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda (Jim) Patrick, of Elizabethtown, Linda (Daryl) Brewer of Seymour, and Scarlett (Larry Willhite) Chapman of North Vernon; brothers, Wesley (Karen) Hendren of Butlerville, Vester Hendren of Summerville, South Carolina and Floyd (Sharon) Hendren of Freemont, California; grandchildren, David (Mary) Lowry, and Mikala (Justin) Owens both of North Vernon, K.C. (Andy) Lowry, and Rebecca Willhite both of Seymour; great-grandchild, Ezra Jackson of Seymour; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Dola Boyd; and her brother, Billy Hendren.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, no services are planned at this time. A celebration of life may be held at a later time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
