Malcomb Ray “Mack” DeCamp, 85, of North Vernon, passed away at 8:05 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021, at his residence.
Born December 26, 1935, in Brewersville, he was the son of Russell B. and Doris M. (Carver) DeCamp. He married Carolyn Sue Wilson on August 31, 1960 in Seymour; she preceded him in death.
Mack was a 1954 graduate of North Vernon High School and worked maintenance for Pilot Industries for several years before retiring in 2005 and had worked 25 years for Arvin’s. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his sons, Robert (Paula) DeCamp and David (Michelle) DeCamp, both of North Vernon; brothers Curtis (Kay) DeCamp of Virgin Islands, and Richard DeCamp of North Vernon; sisters, Joyce (Charlie) Campbell and Dianne (Charlie) Smith both of North Vernon; grandchildren, Abigail DeCamp and Sarah DeCamp, both of North Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brother, Carroll DeCamp, and sister, Doris Ann DeCamp.
In keeping with his wishes cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Memorials may be sent through the funeral home in honor of Mack to the Jennings County Co-ordinating Council.
