Marc Bradley Emminger, 53, of Scipio, passed away at 4:59 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at the Ascension St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.
Born on June 13, 1970, in Franklin, he was the son of Martha (Eberhart) Emminger and the late Stephen Emminger. He married the love of his life, Cynthia Coffey, on July 23, 1994; she survives.
Marc was a 1988 graduate of Southwestern High School in Shelby County. He served in the Navy from 1988 – 1992, where he was stationed on the USS Recovery and the USS Simon Lake in Michigan in 1990. Marc worked as a plumber and pipe fitter for 8 years and Biehle Electric for 6 years as a welder. He also was a former member of the Local 440 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union for 8 years. Marc enjoyed jeep riding, welding, camping, tinkering, building, and horse riding; especially with his beloved horse, Black Rockey. “Marc loved Cindy more than life, and many have searched for that love”.
Surviving with his wife, Cindy, is a son, Josh (Lindsey) Reagan of Columbus; daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Moore of North Vernon; mother, Martha Emminger of North Vernon; grandchildren, Marlee and Samuel Moore of North Vernon; brothers, Todd Ramsey of Marietta, and Rick Ramsey of Shelby County; sister, Stephanie Emminger-Woods of North Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father Stephen; grandparents; and sister-in-law Terry Ramsey.
A celebration of life for Marc will be held from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the Muscatatuck Dining Hall in North Vernon, IN.
Memorials may be made in honor of Marc through the funeral home to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
