Martha Elliott-Miller-Kramer Obituary

Martha Medora Elliott-Miller-Kramer, 95, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:05 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Majestic Health Care Center in North Vernon.

Born September 26, 1924, in Jennings County, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Maggie (Holcomb) Brown.

Martha was a homemaker and co-owner of S&E Insurance in North Vernon, retiring in 2010.  She was a lifetime member of Coffee Creek Conservation Club of North Vernon, Our Heritage Artists in Vernon, and a 58 year member of North Vernon Chapter  #183, Order of the Eastern Star, having served from 1971-1972 as Grand Martha, for the Indiana Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. Martha enjoyed painting, especially oil painting, and playing BINGO.

Martha is survived by her sons, Don Wallace of Rogue River, Oregon, and John Elliott of North Vernon, Indiana; daughters, Melissa Elliott Giddens of North Vernon, Indiana and Priscilla Wallace of Punta Gorda, Florida; grandchildren, Tammy (Tom) Schmidt Gravelie of Unionville, Indiana, Celia (Todd) Hitchins of Sugarloaf Key, Florida, Whitney (David) Langfield of Rogue River, Oregon, Wendy Wilson of North Vernon, Indiana, and Andy Elliott of Nashville, Tennessee and; great-grandchildren, Emily (Brent) Thomas of Fishers, Indiana Alex Merkel of Seattle, Washington, Christian Vinciquerra of Ormond Beach, Florida, Roger Wilson of North Vernon, Indiana, Kanon Langfield and Xander Langfield,  both of Rogue River, Oregon,  Kaiden Wallace and Persephone Wallace, both of Baltimore, Maryland; and great-great-grandchildren, Charlotte Thomas and Elijah Thomas, both of Fishers, Indiana.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Thomas Wallace, Eugene “Windy” Elliott, Elmer Miller, and Charles Kramer; sister, Dorothy Bott; brothers, Perry, Chet, Paul, Don, and Curty Brown; grandsons, Andy Schmidt and Morgan Wallace; and granddaughter, Melinda Schmidt.

A private viewing and funeral will be held at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon).  Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in honor of Martha through the funeral home to North Vernon Chapter #183, Order of the Eastern Star.
