Martin Jay Littrell

Martin Jay “Marty” Littrell, 62, of Commiskey, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born September 14, 1962, in Seymour, he was the son of the late Hugh Thomas and Helen Lee (Utzinger) Littrell.

Marty was a 1980 graduate of Jennings County High School and attended United Electronics Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. He worked as a computer tech for Five Star Technology Solutions in Scottsburg for ten years and had previously worked for Jennings County Schools for several years and Jim Gordon in Columbus for several years. Marty enjoyed fishing, Purdue Sports, Dallas Cowboys and Christmas time.

He is survived by the love of his life, Denise Horstman of North Vernon; siblings, Edna (Jim) Clarkson of Commiskey, Jan Fugate of Cannelton, Jean (Ron) Zohrlaut  of North Vernon, Alan (Lisa) Littrell of North Vernon, Don (Paula) Littrell of Commiskey, and Tom (Kathy) Littrell of North Vernon; and his cat Milo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Dorothy “Dot” Acton, and brother-in-law, Charles Stephen Fugate.

In keeping with his and his family’s wishes cremation is planned with no services to be held at this time. Burial will be at a later date in the Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Marty through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.
