Mary Margaret Robins, 67, of North Vernon, passed away at 8:10 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Born September 3, 1954, in North Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Margaret (Carmer) Banister.
Mary was a 1972 graduate of Jennings County High School and worked as a QMA for the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville until her retirement in 2000. She enjoyed crocheting, making crafts, animals-pets, reading, flowers, and plants. Mary loved her family.
Survivors include her son, Christopher (Kaylea) Robins of Akron, Ohio; her daughter, Melissa Robins of North Vernon; brothers, Charlie (Kyla) Bannister of Bedford and Clyde Bannister of North Vernon; sister, Sharron “Kay” (Richard) Cornett of North Vernon; grandchildren, Kourtnea Hogan of Pennsylvania, Kamryn Russell of Columbus, Kendyll Robins of Elizabethtown and Arayna Robins of Akron, Ohio; three step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tory Phillips and Fox Phillips both of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorials may be made in honor of Mary through the funeral home to Jennings County Animal Control.
