Michael Landon “Mike” Hatton, 44, of New Washington, went to be with Jesus surrounded by his family at 4:35 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at his residence.
Born October 16, 1981, in Columbus, he was the son of Jack L. Hatton and Rhonda Branum Eickbush.
Mike was a factory worker and had worked for Martinrea for five years and several other factories around North Vernon. He enjoyed late model racing, White Sox’s baseball, watching TV. Mike was known for being a very loving person.
Survivors include his father, Jack L. Hatton of North Vernon; Rhonda (Daryl) Eickbush of New Washington; brothers, Adam (Lamanda) Hatton of Lexington and Michael (Emily) Hatton of Sheridan; sisters, Lesley (Dustin) Wise of Brown County, Emily (Evan) Tullis of North Vernon, and Angel Hatton of Clarksville; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Norma Hatton and Willie “Jack” and Evelyn Branum.
A funeral service for Mike will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Caleb Howard and Rev. Terry Eversole officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow in the Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
Memorials may be made in honor of Mike through the funeral home for expenses.
