Mildred Marie (Reynolds) Perry

Mildred Marie Perry, 73, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at her residence.

Born July 14, 1949, in North Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Mildred (Grinstead) Reynolds. She married Buck Dennis Perry on July 15, 1967, in North Vernon; he preceded her in death on February 9, 2012.

Mildred was a high school graduate and received her degree in Medical Transcription. She worked as a DST for 25 years with the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville before retiring in 2003. Mildred was a member of the Jennings Church of Christ and enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing computer games, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Buck Allen Perry Sr. of North Vernon; daughter, Julia (Bill) Hardebeck of North Vernon; sister, Marsha (Jamie) Olds of North Vernon; grandchildren, Buck Allen “B.J.” (Taylor) Perry, Jr., and Jessica (Tommy) Dickmeyer, both of North Vernon, Jordan (Jack) Perry of Greenwood, and Daniel Ballenger of Prescott, Arizona; and great-grandchildren, Seth Andrew Perry of Greensburg, June Sorrels and Jonah Sorrels, both of Greenwood, and Greyson Perry, Israel Perry, Grace Barker, Bentley Perry and Penelope Perry, all of North Vernon

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sister, Linda Lamb.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023, at the Jennings Church of Christ in North Vernon with the Rev. Marcus Speer officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery.
