Mitzie Lynn (Caudill) Dillon

Mitzie Lynn Dillon, 60, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at her residence.

Born July 3, 1959, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Warden and Reva Collett Caudill. She married John Dillon on May 26, 1983 in Vernon; he survives.

Mitzie worked in healthcare, having worked for Jennings Community Hospital, Muscatatuck State Developmental Center, ResCare, DSI, Community Care Center and Intrim and worked as an inspector for Aisin USA in Seymour. She was a member of Vernon Baptist Church and enjoyed crafts, being outdoors, cookouts, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was also an I.U. fan.

Surviving with her husband, John Dillon, are sons, Josh (April) Dillon and Johnny Dillon, both of North Vernon; daughters, Judy (James) Collett of North Vernon and Diana (Eric) Boardman of Palm Beach, Florida; brother, William (Candy) Caudill of Brewersville; sister, Regina (Glen) Short of Vernon; grandchildren, Jessica Boardman and Justin Boardman, both of Palm Beach, Florida, Sumer Boardman of Odenton, Maryland, Cody Hicks, Brandon Strickland, Zach Collett, Jasmine Dillon, Tiffany Dillon, Jalen Dillon, Damon Dillon, Payton Dillon, Faith Dillon, and William Destefino, all of North Vernon; seven great-grandchildren; two nieces; and seven nephews.  

She was preceded in death by parents; son, Paul David Caudill; daughter Tanya Lynn Dillon; brother, Danny Caudill; and sister, Donna Henry.

A funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, in the Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon.
