Nanette Ruth (Moldenhauer) Claghorn

Nanette Ruth Claghorn, 76, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:10 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at her residence.

Born December 12, 1948, in Talent, Oregon, she was the daughter of the late Erdman and Alice (Powell) Moldenhauer. She married Bob Claghorn on January 25, 1975, in Madison; he preceded her in death on November 17, 2018.

Nanette retired from ResCare in North Vernon and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Madison. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, listening to music, dancing, and animals.

She is survived by her sisters, Diana (Tom) Taylor and Connie (Mike) Ochs, both of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her daughter, Kara L. Claghorn.

A private burial will be held in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Nanette through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.
