Nicky "Nick" K Hill

Nicky “Nick” K. Hill, 63, of Scipio, passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born August 28, 1962, in Columbus, Indiana, he was the son of James Pierce and the late Brenda Hill. He married Alicia Allman on April 25, 2003, in Columbus; she survives.

Nick graduated from Columbus North High School. He worked at Cummins for ten years as a machinist and forklift driver; at Net Forge in Walesboro for three years; and at Toyota for six years. He was an assistant Pastor at Faith Covenant Church in Madison, Indiana. Nick enjoyed fishing and hunting and liked to watch streetcar racing.

Surviving with his wife, Alicia, are his father, James Pierce of Jeffersonville; son, Dylan (Teresa) Broady of Greenwood; grandchildren, Lyla Broady and Lydia Broady, both of Seymour, and Sophia Broady and Anola Broady, both of Greenwood; brothers, Greg Hill, Donnie Bowman Sr., and David (Stephanie) Bowman all of Columbus; and sisters, Amy Pierce of Louisville, Kentucky, Jackie (Jeff) Wilder of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Carla (Allen) Decker of Washington, and Summer Alldaffer of Sellersburg.

He was preceded in death by his mother; sisters, Charlotte Hill and Judy Hill; and brother, Kevin Hill.

A funeral service for Nick will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon, with Pastor Judy Stater officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
