Patricia Elaine “Patty” Lozier, 71, of North Vernon, passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at her residence.
Born September 21, 1949, in Mooreshill in Dearborn County, she was the daughter of Wilbur Westerman and Christeen (Bear) Bruce. She married Jerry Bernard Lozier on February 14, 1969, in Osgood; he preceded her in death on January 3, 2016.
Patty retired in 2017 from ResCare and has been a member of Chestnut Street Community Church since 2010, she also volunteered for a couple months with Majestic Care. She enjoyed crafts, collecting angels, Christmas movies, board games, and solar dancer figurines.
Survivors include her son, Jeremy (Shannon) Lozier of North Vernon; her daughter, Christeena (Justin) Haggard of Westport; brother, Orville Westerman of Bon Aqua of Tennessee; sisters, Doris Fullmer of Osgood, Esther Brooks of New Castle, Jean O’Brian of League City, Texas, and Sandy Oney of New Marion; grandchildren, LaTasha Ross of Brownstown, Amber (Jesslynn) Lozier of Madison, Dustin (Lillian) Lozier and Ashley McFall, both of North Vernon and Erik (Kersten) Lozier of Dupont; and great-grandchildren, Clohie Eversole, and Skilynn Eversole, both of Westport, Ryker Ross, Quinten Ross, and Kainnon Ross, all of Madison, Jakobi Ross and Hailye Ross, both of Brownstown, and Lillian Pearson, Dominick Lozier, and Ariyah Pearson, all of Butlerville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; great grandchild, Talib Lozier, and brother, Wilbur Arthur “Red” Westerman.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at the Chestnut Street Community Church in North Vernon. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon was entrusted to the care of these arrangements.
